ABOUT US

With George Orwell at the BBC, November 2017 (Peter Lush)

Kilburn Older Voices Exchange (KOVE) is a registered charity, number 1137417, with five trustees:  Lynda Stuart (Vice Chair, acting Chair),  Frances Eley, John Miles, Suzanne Pawaroo and Phyllis Young. The trustees meet regularly, alternating meetings with the KOVE Steering Group.

2022 marks 20 years since KOVE was established and we need to appoint a new independent Chair and trustee to help manage the staff member and support the trustees and Steering Group to plan and prioritise our development work. To find out more about what is required, click here

KOVE also wishes to appoint a part-time Co-ordinator to work with the Trustees and Steering Group to plan our social activities and help to deliver the community work needed to achieve a more age-friendly Kilburn. Please see the Home page for more details.

KOVE is an independent, constituted community group for older people in the Kilburn and West Hampstead areas. We work closely with various other local groups and community centres. We have a community partnership approach, working with different agencies and engaging them in joint project work to improve delivery of services. The participation of older people and service users is key to this approach. We also make films with local people to highlight particular issues and problems. Please see the Partners & Links page for details of the groups we have worked with.

KOVE is financially supported by The Mercers' Company and the Waitrose Community Fund.
