Kilburn Older Voices Exchange (KOVE) is a registered charity, number 1137417, with five trustees: Ags Irwin (Chair), Lynda Stuart (Vice Chair), Frances Eley (Treasurer) plus Phyllis Young and Violet Clarkson. The trustees meet regularly (at the moment via Zoom) with our Steering Group. KOVE has two part-time employees: Peter Lush, Administrator, and Deborah Knight is the Community Development Officer.
KOVE is part of the Ageing Better in Camden project, which is run by Age UK Camden. KOVE is also supported by The Mercers' Company and by the Waitrose Community Fund.
KOVE is an independent, constituted community group for older people in the Kilburn and West Hampstead areas. We work closely with various other local groups and community centres. We have a community partnership approach, working with different agencies and engaging them in joint project work to improve delivery of services. The participation of older people and service users is key to this approach. We also make films with local people to highlight particular issues and problems.
Please see the partnership page for details of the groups we have worked with.
